This article was of particular interest for me as it was written very differently from the common atheism articles.

You have based your critique upon logic and your critique explains why you dislike religions. Most of the arguments that you have presented if they truly are representative of religion, then it is quite natural thing to hate religion.

I will probably write a separate article on why I believe in religion but I just wanted to present some simple points regarding my personal view.

- Most of the chaos created by believers of God is because they don't adhere to teachings of their own beliefs. So if they abuse religion for self-interest, it is a problem with them and not with the religion.

- Religion does not contradict science. If we believe there exists God, then this universe is created by God and the laws of physics or the whole science is also from the God. So we can say if religion is word of God then science is act of God and there cannot be any contradicition between the word and act of God. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect upon both, our scientific understanding and our understanding of word of God. The contradiction that we see today is due to this lack of reflection.

- It is quite an interesting fact that some great scientists followed Islam. A possible reason could be that at that time, the meanings of Quran or Hadith had not been misrepresented as they are done nowadays. At that times logic was seen as a supporter of the religion not an enemy.

- Last point: I believe that you would also have read books on basis of religion or proofs of God as only after looking at both perspectives one is able to base his ideas, but I would recommend you to read one more book "Philosphy of Teachings of Islam".

Have a nice day!
